Two Stars

We lay together like two stars
Alone in the dark
So close together, but
A billion miles apart.

Near my place, underneath a rock
There grows some moss.
Thriving like a yeast infection and I,I,
I think of you.
A woman selling some groceries
Received insufficient change
She started yelling and I, I, I,
I thought of you.

We lay together like two stars
Alone in the dark
So close together, but
A billion miles apart.

We walk together in the park
Lovers, falun gong and joggers, it is getting dark.
You hear something or other from me
And nod although you don’t agree
Conversation carries like a memory  in the breeze
And I, I, I think of you.

I miss you
I miss you
I miss you…
I wouldn’t mind so much
If you were just with someone else
At least I could maybe win you back
But you just don’t seem to be in any mortal realm.
You’re simply somewhere else today
And almost every other day
Not sure if you even hear me when I say
I miss you
I miss you
I miss you…

We lay together like two stars
Alone in the dark
So close together, but a
Billion miles apart
