Victim

I became a victim for a period of time.
Turning to addictions to repress your crime.
But no matter how I tried to run from my pain,
It still got me in the end, but it also sent me insane.
So I have learnt now, not to run away.
For it will always catch up with you some day.
So I have to accept what happened to me,
And dedicate a little time to setting myself free.
So now after years of abuse and years of running away,
Trying to escape all I needed to say.
I have found my voice and now I am able to speak,
Of the secrets of abuse I was forced to keep.

    what a heart felt write very sad I am sorry for your pain, I know it hurts, I have been there. This really spoke right to my heart.

    These are some of my favorite lines,

    This rings true with every word, it has nice flow and great rhyme. Beautifully done keep them coming!!
