I have a crazy family, yeah
our dandy hair we wear with flair,
spiked and coloured, look divine
living in a ghastly shrine.
Mother's just an apparition,
decomposing composition,
father's madness lacks decorum
unhinged within a social forum.
The kids play in a funky band
blood curdling tunes none understand,
always playing out of key
with screams of eerie victory!
Fest, the savage rainbow pet
eats human morsels, no regrets,
with four eyes, two are always swollen
chewing on that flower pollen.
There's Cousin Snip, taking flight
ravening in dark moonlight
eating entrails, yummy things
wearing all that glistening bling!
There's Aunty Mimic, plays guitar
plays like Hendrix, most bizarre,
no wonder, all her limbs are hands
she's such an asset to our band!
And finally there's Uncle Skew
with eyes of pink and skin so blue,
his nipples in the strangest place
don't look too hard, you'll find no trace.
A fine family, we all commune
beneath the moon each afternoon,
y'all come and visit anytime
we'll feast on offal in it's prime.

this is actually a fantastic write. Crazy and scary family....but at least one is a poet. We cannot choose our relatives, but we can write about them...

Damned you did a magnificent job with this piece. Using all those words in that order and getting such a great and humorous story out of it was simply amazing. This family seems like a cross of The Adams family...The Munsters...and The Jacksons! A real ripper of a story that had me laughing trying to imagine the family doing their thing. I must admit though, it wasn't really that hard to get those pictures up in my head as your owrds simply just planted them there and they sprouted. You are a wonder and comedy and I really enjoy these writes of yours. Of course, all your writes are marvelous, but there is something about humor that just seems to brighten everyones day. I wish you the very best in this contest and thanks for sharing your weird and wonderful humor with us all.
