I've been stuck in the house
with nowhere to go
Sick with a nasty
upper respiratory infection
If I see these four walls
for very much longer
I will claw my way out
before the week is over
I am so sick of coughing
it is unreal how much
I just want to rip my lungs
out and throw them away
Sleepless nights
are the worst
No matter how much you try
the coughing keeps you awake
and makes you want to cry
Maybe if I could get free
and go outside for just a little bit
the sun would do me some good
but no, i am confined to this
damn house until this
damn infection runs its damn course

OOOh, I hate infections like this and I once had to do this for a month cause I couldn't even walk straight. You showed us just what the feeling is like being stuck between these walls when you want out. It doesn't bother you though when you feel like it, but just try to pen you in at the wrong time and it is horror. Love the picture. It is great and this poem is wonderful.

Funny, but then again being sick is never fun and any length of time sick can really drive you stir crazy. I had Shingles in February and only saw the Dr twice from Feb to April. I could go nowhere, it hurt too much for even fabric to touch me. Talk about crazy, I know where you are coming from.

...oh....how well I know this.....I had to laugh because we are going through our 7th day of rain....and with 4 dogs and three cats.....I want OUT!!!!!

My heart goes out to you my friend. I am experiences some nasty allergy attacks right now and even fresh cut grass sends me into a coughing rage. Hope you feel better soon.
