Had once sketched sweetest
ballads of life in poetic symphonies
amythyst words colored soul's requiems
mirrored hopes and fears
sweetened in crimson hope
weaved dreams within rainbows tip
Yet sweet fallacies blemished swollen pride
piercing surface of once flourish dreams
life sonnets is now shaped into formless skies
Poignant misery of dawn's growing
attacking mind in shivering hues of grey
soul is wet, decaying in iron anguish
Ardent, the world I weaved
succumbs to the lyrics of frost
echoed in every grain of sand
universe is melting over clouds
that I painted across my world
what is left is deafening silence
Author notes
prompt goes here: "I gave birth to death, now I stand upon the threshhold of that which I created." PMS

loved the last stanza...complexity of mind over heart...and rainbows we travel come in hues of emotional sighs
congrates on the honorable doll

a very well painted portait indeed. I am most plesed to have read this as your second stanza " yet sweet fallacies blemished swollen pride, piercing surface of once flourished dreams, life sonnets now shaped into formless skies. beautiful and thank you

A woven piece of earth and sky, seen and unseen by that which lived a life. Felt like I was reading a swaying colorful haze the further I read the more it turned gray. Choice of words uniquely spoken through your pen surely gave this fellow poet something to ponder. Excellent write
