Where did we go wrong?
What have I done to deserve the treatment you give me?
Was it because I proclaimed my love for you?
Is it because I made the first move and you weren't ready?
Where did it all go wrong?
Isn't the past suppose to be just that, the past?
Why do you continue to push me away
when all I want to do is help you?
Why is it whenever I talk to you
I feel like you are distancing yourself away from me?
Will there ever be, anything I can ever do,
to reestablish the friendship we once have?
Because if history dictates itself,
in the end, you will lose the only person
who still truly gives a damn about you.
Let the past be proof that
once I shut the doors behind me,
I will never come back to you!
So think it over and give me a sign,
because once I shut these doors,
I will never be in your life again!

Dealin' with the past 
Before anyone else starts askin if its at my latest ex NO!
this poem is directed right at someone name Amber
who is NOT associated with this site what so ever!!
Long version short 5 years ago had a major fling with a girl name Amber
worst mistake of my life as it turned out because well quite simply
she turned herself into a druggie and for those who know me well enough
I am not a druggie nor will I ever take drugs again ( illegal ones that is )
and any ways so yea this is directed at Amber who is a jailbird Bitch
who diseguarded every damn piec eof advice I ever gave her and thus
she is going to rot in jail for many more years to come *sigh*
Hope everyone understands this poem now & stop askin'
if it is aimed at my ex on this site which it is not!!

I like this write, so often we base our past on what we have to deal with in the future, looking for signs that might reflect what happend in the past in order to preven t it from happening again. you did a great heartfelt job on this piece, questions that need answers, yet your key answer is the PAST that haunts you. wow I like it alot and I believe that you a great writer, you just have to find that inner peace of writing what you feel.

This is wonderful work about the past i dunno who ur talking bout but either way i know i can't be pushing u away if i did i'd kill myself for i never want to lose u again. but great write i know i can't find anything wrong its just so beautiful and u were gettin something off ur chest like some ppl do but u put them into great words of poetry. anyways love u always well
