Exceptional evil, the castle embodied,
Existed in essence, everyone had agreed,
Enough was enough it was time to effect,
The execution or expulsion and forever eject.
Believing the fables and psychobabble,
The bloodsuckers abode bothered the rabble,
Armed with axes, they angrily advanced,
To assassinate all in a murderous trance.
Cautiously up to the castle they climbed,
Consciousness closed to committing the crime,
The full moon and fog gave a formidable feel,
Where their foes without effort, had freely concealed.
Dismissing all dread, their destiny loomed,
No doubt that the darkness was ready for doom,
Not learning their luck until it was too late,
The leeches were lurking and lying in wait.
The horror of hostility haunted the land,
Hideous hatred helping Death’s hand,
Gluttonous gorging left gruesome remains,
Defying future gallantries to try it again.

Fine write!
Worthy
of the Gold!
Not only smooth alliteration, but also rhyme & a story poem that fits the prompt so well. Bravo friend! Well done. I do have a few 'suggestions' for you re: punctuation. I'll send them along.

Love the way this goes with the pic prompt! Thanks for not over-doing the
alliteration. Just enough!
