Sex on the Sistine

I think that this is just plastic.
It's a crying shame it's the same bombastic
flame emitted from the past, it
reminds me of the time I pined
for a kind of sign to lead the fight.

Now it's blood v guts, guts v glory.
He wants a girl,  a whore, she's
only fifteen; sex painted on the Sistine,
and I've got eyes on (fire) pristine,
with black lining shining in steam.

I digress, a regress, a redressing
of the crestfallen test addressed
by the mind in a contest with the heart,
always seperated but never far apart,
they speak in threes of seasons to restart.

I retake a stake in the claim
that enflamed infamy in the same
begotten sun of content is gained
by a sojourn of this living through giving,
and gaining is just sustaining this bridging...

There is so much beauty,
sustained in love, in pain,
in all we can possibly retain.
So much love to take hold of,
in a gentle hand,
without so much as a reprimand.
Don't ruin it with ignorance...

Please tell me what you think

I absolutely loved this piece. Everything about this was brilliant! Your word choice and the flow of the overall write just took my breath away.

Those two stanzas were definately my favorites. Especially that last line.
Ignorance is my greatest pet peeve.

Thank you so much for sharing this piece with us on AP.

Can't wait to read more of your works,
