The Keeper Of The Waterfall

I知 the keeper of the waterfall inside this magic land
protection is my duty day and night,
against all beasts and enemies I値l proudly make my stand
I知 not afraid and will not take to flight.

Every fairy, elf and pixie has a special job to do
the Royal pool is where I can be seen,
when starlight adds a silver sheen upon the waters blue
that痴 when they come to bathe, the King and Queen.

As a sprite I know that I will do the best I can
and if I need I値l use my magic powers,
to guard this site from prying eyes of every child and man;
we池e invisible to all in moonlit hours.

In sunlight we cannot be seen, we hide among the trees
if you池e quiet you値l maybe hear us sing,
or catch the merest glimpse of us as we ride on the breeze
and magic to your gardens we will bring.

I知 the keeper of the waterfall inside this magic land;
against all beasts and enemies I値l proudly make my stand.

    or catch the merest glimpse of us as we ride on the breeze
    I thought this line might be balanced a little better...maybe remove "as we ride" and replace with riding...just a thought Dan

      Many thanks for your comment and suggestion Dan, but I will leave it as it is because if I change that line to 'riding' it throws the meter out by one syllable.

    Your writing is so beautiful the flow is like the falls
    And rhyme to make the saddest reader smile
    Approachable and innocent you scale the highest walls
    That life can wrap around us fora while

    I've fallen for your guardian her magic's everywhere
    The sprite who saves the waterfall for us
    I know I cannot see her but I feel her in the air
    These fairies always make a dreadful fuss

    Great stuff!

    I think the repeating of the first and third line of the poem as the final stanza turned this poem from a story into a fairytale. I love the way you wave your magic wand.
