While some mourn... (In reflection of 9-1-1)

Missing image
There is a group of American folks
who would like to stifle the day
with politics, full scale.
Caution them, that is what I say.
On their own brute words, I hope each one chokes,
and their two faces become pale.

Bail them out?
Would never try!
Using nine-one-one is wrong.

Strong flames of fear these cowards gladly stoke,
as they carelessly promote play
and do they do it well.
Loosing support in every way,
with the same tired game of mirrors and smoke.
I know that they are bound to fail.

Jail their clout
it's going to die,
and for sure it won't be long.

Wrong!  We see through every negative ploy.
Our right to mourning they plan to destroy.

An Individualtean by the Grand Poet - Individuality

Thanks Ian!

About the poem:

September 10 - 12, 2009 the Republican party is sponsoring a March on Washington to protest Taxes, and President Obama! This is insane to me. This should be a time when all those who lost their lives should be paid the proper respect. This should NOT be a political weekend. What in the world is going on in this country? A house divided cannot stand. In all my years I have not seen such misconduct, and fear, ignorance even.

Various tributes throughout the city to the victims of the World Trade Center attacks. I still have flashbacks from that day. Do you and what are they? Were you a first responder? Did you know anyone who was lost on that day? I have met some people who certainly were closer to it and thankfully survived. Considering though the long term physical and mental health repercussions I doubt anyone in our city will ever forget what happened on 9/11. Unfortunately there are also those who will exploit this day to their advantage, financial, legal and otherwise. We must be carefull that our fear does not allow those in authority to take our rights away in the name of paranoia and fear.

Be blunt! Be honest! I'm a big girl, I can take it. THANKS!

Politics as usual, hon. Arrogance to the highest degree. There aren't enough hijackers in the world to make them see.

Just loved this. If they go out on the street and protest against the President of the United States I would be so ashamed. It would be reminiscent of other marches
where the uniforms were different but the mentality the same. I just cannot believe it!
To my way of thinking, I'm wagering that there is hardly a person in that Senate room who would trade places with the president right now and take on the responsibilities he's got. Every one of those people in that room the other night has health-care. I have to wait two more years to get medicare and get my COPD treated.
You know, it breaks my heart to hear all this ignorance.
My prayers as well go out to the survivors and their families, and to the families and friends of those who did not.

You got your point across so strongly and clearly,
Most of us know that no matter what Obama does
during his term, there will be those who will find
fault with everything he does. ( And we all know why ).
I strongly believe that everyone in the good ole U.S.A.
should have health " end of story " The U.S.A. seems to
have plently of money to give to sports players to dripple
a ball, yet you cannot get medicine. for your love ones when
needed. I could go on and on about this subject but it
makes me to sick. I for the life of me cannot understand
how so many fools think that obama can change the world in
less then a years and fix 8 years of mess that was cause by
bush. Some will never give obama a break and again
( we all know why ). You wrote a great poem. May God Bless
the souls of all those men, women and children who lost their
lives on 9/11. may God be with their families and friend. also
may God bless you for writing what so many needs to learn a
    lesson from.

    loveandblessings2u & yours always
    joyce

    - here the end line of day rhyme must start the begining of line 3 line

and their two faces become pale.

    Bail them out?

    - same here as pale ends the verse you must start the next verse with a rhyme to pale.

this is what people tend to miss when doing my form, the internal rhyme.

i was thinkign of doing a poem for this date earlier, and one or the 9th of the ninth 09 on wed. but decided against it.

you ahbve the count and end line rhymes right here but not all the end to begining line rhymes that are required
