Morning Rituals

Breasts, sex appeal,
ache, fat,
bruise in the shape
of Missouri and Blues,
all there.

You are the siphonaptera,
the canis lupus familiaris--
inseparable, conflicting,
unfinished.

What does this mean to you?

I got an AP sister that writes with those big words...I like the way you penned this out, though I don't know the meanings to a couple of those words...

Siphonaptera and canis lupus familiaris are the scientific names for flea and dog, so...that's..that.
I was kind of iffy about using them instead of just 'dog' and 'flea.'

    Welcome to Allpoetry

When I first read this, I had to check your age, and I couldn't believe that you are only 15. This is written with maturity and eloquence beyond your years, and I thoroughly enjoyed it, in its verbosity.

    Well done, & keep writing.

Thank you, really. That's one of the best compliments you could give; there are a lot of times where I feel like just another silly teenager.

(I don't think I could stop writing if I tried.)
