Before the world wakes up -
dark and dusty blues
magic of stars and moonlight
the time before the sun
this September morning
One lone rooster crows
breaking through the early morning air
tree frogs creaking, animals at play
coolness of autumn envelopes me
this September morning
I gaze in silent wonder at the sky,
and listen to the sounds of life...
such mysteries our universe holds
how I wish I knew the answers,
this September morning
Tranquil time when nature speaks
to those who hear with their hearts
and see with their mind’s eye;
dawn slowly approaches
this September morning.
