A fleeting thought enters my mind,
What if this had not come to be?
A different life I might have led.
Different surroundings, different me.
All things transpire as they are meant
At least that’s what I believe.
A simple no, another choice,
Would’ve made this difficult to conceive.
No other course so clear, so sure.
No other path, selected.
With you my heart goes, this I know,
Though distant, still connected.
Other choices may have proved,
To be the easier way.
But nothing worth having is that easy,
At least that’s what they say.
We make a choice, each and every day.
Some major and some less so.
Though trials may dot my future, near
My heart seeks only one pathway to go.

I have felt as you do, loving someone who is so far away..it can be difficult, trying to hold on to that...I hope you have chosen a good path for your life. I am sure trials will come up,as it is life, but the important thing is to keep your cool!
