Stay You

One thing you must never do,
is allow others to form you.
For you must stay true,
or else you shall lose yourself.

Lose individuality,
independence & creativity
To be shaped by others,
is to turn out as they do:
boring, plain,
and all the same

You musn't allow yourself
to be caught in the tide.
But stand still and strong
following your own path,
taking your own strides

The others will look back and say:
'I wish i could've been as brave'
Regretting the decisions they made.

While you will know,
you did as you would
and that was all that you could;

To stay true to yourself,
and not part of the crowd.
