Time for the Bears to dominate
My alliegence is clear
As is my eternal green bay hate
minnesota (you chumps) shall fall lame
With your brand new (ancient) QB
And if detroit fails again to win a game
Well that'll be absolutely fine by me
And my dear best friend
Your steelers are tough
But by week twos' end
They just won't be enough
Bear down you Chicago Bears
The Super Bowl XLIV heirs
Author notes
Tis a cheesy piece, but the contest prompt sort of spur of the moment inspired me.
Yeah, I know, missing capitalization, but im a hater like that.
No team but Chicago gets props from me.
(at least i didnt use the alternate names i created for the other three teams!)
My best friend is a steelers fan, die-hard, and my other buddy is a (swallows a little vomit) green bay fan, so the first two games at their houses is going to be like being behind enemy lines, in unfriendly territory
Oh well...
Daaaaaaa Bears!
Prediction: 11-5
*our division is the NFC North, nicknamed "The Norse Div.", because we play in some of the hell awfulest cold weather (detroit and minnesota suck with their domes now), hence the nordic nickname (minnesota again, sucks, being named for nordic warriors and playing in a dome...along with picking up that fossile #4. gods of hell my hatred never ends till the spring!

Eternal green bay hate! Ha... I think that's something a lot of people share.
This is a fun one, perfect for the contest. Congrats on your trophy. -
I love it! It's brilliant, my neighbor would hate it because she is from Wisconsin but anyone even a GB fan should definately be able to appreciate this!

-
-
They might not though...I hate green bay people, and they hate us
-
-
Not a football fan and fotty here is Aussie Rules lol. But I like your poem and the confidence to show in your team
A fine supporter and congratulations on your gold

Oh course, the U.S. is the only place with "American rules", hence the term "American Football"

But I love it!
Thanks for the read, comment and applause, especially for not being a fan of the particular sport
-
-
blah cruel.
" my alliegence is clear as is my eternal green bay hate"

green bay fan right here! haha.

The world is cruel, and football is a punishing sport.
At least im not beating up little kids with #4 jerseys on (though the though of throwing bricks through the windows of their daddys cars has crossed my thoughts
).

so true. and hahahahha lmfao thats great lol XF

I can see why this won the gold, and not cheesy at all, a off the cuff write can always be the best, I think the mind becomes more focused. Don't know much about your football, but it seems you are as passionate as we over here are about ours. I think you call it soccer.
Regards.

-
Yeah, your football is soccer for us.
I love U.S. football, tis my favorite sport!

Nice poetry form and great use of the color scheme. Thanks for the authors notes. I would't have capitalized the enemy either. LOL I can tell you love your Bears!! I loved the brand new (ancient) jab. Good One. Good luck to the Bears this season.

-
Thanks.
After I initally posted this, I thought "Hey wait! I can do Bears colors for this!!!!"
I think about wet myself as I hurried to recolor the page and fonts
-

nods, when you want some self-esteem
you can wear my raiders jersey. (ducks) yikes!
A fun read, taken in the delusiond cuz your a fan mode. heheh

-
-
Self esteem?
I'll pass on that raiders jersey.
And im not delusional, im just diehard

Glad you're still a fellow green bay hater!

plus its nice to see you're still standing by your team. a friend of mine is a bills fan and he gets crap all the time. some people didnt show up at work today cause of hangovers from watching the game... which meant i had to actually work today ...sheesh

-
-
Yeah, I was at my buddys house, cause he's the diehard steelers fan refered to in the third stanza, but we were'nt drinking.
I saved that for after I left his house later around 1:30 in the morning.
I love how I got to sport some team color here on the page...It Fuckin' ROCKS!!!!! -
-
ha, well hopefully the 1:30 drinks helped you get some sleep.

yeah i was actually amused to see you go all team hoorah, although the colors could make you a gator's fan
-
-
-
Haha, loved it. And I live in Minnesota, but that doesn't mean that I support the Vikings. Don't wanna support them. Great job!

-
-
Great for you
-
-
hott! lol. a poem about football. sexxi.

I used to let these petty rivalries piss me off. But now, since I am a sensible adult...lol...I just let it roll off my back. May the best team win!!!
But I do have my loyalties
GO COWBOYS!!!!

-
-
Hell with that, I can't stand the other teams in my division, and it's Bears or nothing, period

(hate your team too by the way
)
-
-
....LOL. Such loyalty, hard to find that nowadays.

Big 44, is your heart telling you to throw down money? Good luck. Good luck to the Bears. hehe
-
-
I only gamble with my life.
If I bet on my team, my crap, bad luck supercedes my teams talent, and they and I will lose (sucks really)
Big 44, roulette?
Thanks for the read, comment, applause and luck
