She used to sit by the shade of the Chestnut tree
On Summer noons and dream her simple dreams..
Blue Satin frocks, Dainty ribbons,
Books on fairy's tales to call her own..
"I am older now", she used to remind herself
On late Spring evenings..
Wanting not those tales nor the frocks in blue..
She wished she could paint those flowers in bloom,
Friends to stroll with.. at sunset times..
And chase fireflies in the woods..
One fine day, she had stood by the fence
Watching the girl next door, smile and sigh..as she lay
In reverie, With sparkling eyes..
As the falling leaves in gold, brown and red
Spread a carpet ~
She wished she could be like that girl caught in a charm.
Days glided by, it was Christmas Eve,
Every girl in the neighborhood had fine clothes,
Pearls and gifts.. Our little child had none,
Yet, as she knelt that night to pray
She thanked God for that wonderful year,
For two fine eyes, speech and music,
For that waiting glass of milk
And the fire in the furnace that was to keep her warm..
..
She was that little girl with the most beautiful name ever!!
Author notes
I couldn't exactly land at a name.. all I know is she has the most beautiful name ever!!!

Thank You for Your Entry ~
I like that there is a mystery to the most beautiful name ever - certainly gives ones imagination the chance to ponder and make up their own
This is a beautiful poem, I love how she went through the seasons and grew each change of wind but inside I think she stayed the same
Best of Luck
