It was all to easy
or maybe, it never was.
drops of salt tainted water fall
aborbed into the pillow,
as if that was their only purpose in life-
to feed misery.
Denile projects itself
as anger-
words slung back and forth
an epitamy of disaster.
The shadows creep slowly
encompassing every last warmth
that was held dear.
Renegade tears overflow,
soaking the mattress with
each shallow yet, emotion-filled drop.
damage is done...

my husband just lost his job... and while I am trying to remain hopeful.... it seems that this is a losing battle...

Aww, I know how hard it is to sometimes maintain hope. I just lost my sickness benefit and it will cost me thousands in lawyers fees to fight it. Damn socieity!

The world has been hit heavy with all the economic problems, and I'm sorry to hear that it's hitting you and your beloved as well. I pray that everything will work out for you. I can feel your pain and your ache in this poem. Very well written, and good use of art as a release.

We are seeing a lot of this right now, the world is definitely Not a better place for young people. I sigh for their chances as we over populate. and greed is corrupting life as we knew it. I am sad for you and the way it makes you feel here. Rant away here anytime.

Renegade tears was so original to me, I never saw it in any poem before so that just excited me!
Well, in our lives, there are moments that we feel everything is going wrong, that God is not listening to us nor any of earthy creations but we should remember that the darkest moment in night is just before dawn, that the most unbearable time in pregnancy is just before giving birth. So if you are having rough moments at the moment, you should be sure time has a great thing for you to come!
I hope everything is getting better at your side soon

A sad emotion filled tearfull depth of dispair tragedy
completely understandable in view of the circumstances
the "poverty amidst plenty" syndrome peculiar to the so called "Free Enterprise"(Capitalist) system is enough to drive anyone insane especially when they lose both their job and mortgaged home in the process it's deja vu all over again I can still remember 1931 even though I was only 7 yrs.
old, when "Buddy Can You Spare a Dime" was top of the hit parade.You have all my sympathy ....Best Wishes..George
