Godric (True Blood)

Aged, sorrowful, eyes nest on the ground, the breeze takes the black strings of curls into a dance,
A dance that will take you away from the world; how could you leave me,
Your son the one who can't bare the tear in my flame burning heart,
That beats with each memory of you,
The face that saved me from myself?

Cold pools of red stained tears wash my face; touching the soft skin,
The emptiness of many thoughts clouds my view,
The eye of which to see in is bare with but a small flicker of light,
As I watch the fire goes on I see myself with you, telling me with soft words,
How to live this life.

My eyes flicker on the flame as I heard your words,
"I love you above all others,"
The red stained tears of blood turn to the water pool below;
The look on your face as you said,
"Father, brother, son."

The hand that taught me, rested on my shoulder,
As you made me look up into those beautiful, dark, aged, sorrowful eyes,
"As your maker I command you,"
With this I had to obey you one last time,
But as I walked away those eyes remained in my view.

The view that will last forever, of seeing those eyes,
That took me in to your loving arms;
The burning love that was curled inside your chest,
Was released in my own heart,
It was that love which made me loyal.

It was this loyalty that made me yours,
Your child, your brother, and your own father,
By the blood that travels in these veins,
Everything important about you will never descend,
Through love and blood you will be with me forever.

I sit here looking back to the night,
The same night that you came to me,
Stars glitter above us, those dark eyes on mine;
Two swirl pools of death but yet you smiled,
"Can you accompany death and walk the world in darkness?"

That question twirls in my head, still to this night,
But though over a thousand nights have pass,
There is still so much I need to learn,
Is this my last lesson from you,
The lesson of saying, "good-bye?"

No matter where I go, nor I turn;
I'll see you, my heart will leap,
But out of false, for this lesson,
Will never be learned, for I can't bare;
To learn it in the first place.

Was this your true intention all along,
To try to end this segregation against the humans and us,
To end the days of war by simply going into the light;
The light of irony, beautiful but deadly,
Is that what we are or was that your lesson all along?

To guide our kin with humans, to coexists with one another,
Or was it to show us that we have lost our humanity,
After so many centuries, is this what you've learned;
The arrogance of our kind and  abilities,
But why leave the page blank?

Godric, I say this though I'm to late,
To see those eyes, the smile, the burning lessons you once had,
The soft hand that stroked my cheek when I cried,
I say this "Jag älskar dig Godric." ("I love you Godric.")

Author notes

This is from HBO's True Blood, Godric the two thousand yea rold vampire who made Eric, in this poem I put Eric's view about telling about his lose about his maker.

I did use lines from the show, show I credit HBO.
Watch it!
I hope you enjoyed this piece and yes, this is a new way of writing poetry I found, back in the 1600's in Early America, a few poets used to write in this form, five lines space ect ect.

How was the overall idea/creativty
