As the moon revealed itself from the clouds
My shadow stretched further behind me
The entire beach lit up, like a christmas tree
As if it was preparing itself for a finale
I sat down on the blue-sand beach
Admiring the scenery before me
When suddenly, i saw her
There was she.
A dream of the gods, she was
Her beauty untamed, it seemed
She was a gift from the heavens
Wrapped in the dark veil of the sea
Her green eyes stared right through me
And i lost myself in them
Her golden hair rode the waves behind her
Less like a creature, more like an angel, she was then.
The clouds moved in
The blue light slowly dimmed
My shadow, dwarfed
And she.....she was gone
What did i see
What did i feel
Was it fantasy, reality
or.....somewhere in between??
My shadow stretched further behind me
The entire beach lit up, like a christmas tree
As if it was preparing itself for a finale
I sat down on the blue-sand beach
Admiring the scenery before me
When suddenly, i saw her
There was she.
A dream of the gods, she was
Her beauty untamed, it seemed
She was a gift from the heavens
Wrapped in the dark veil of the sea
Her green eyes stared right through me
And i lost myself in them
Her golden hair rode the waves behind her
Less like a creature, more like an angel, she was then.
The clouds moved in
The blue light slowly dimmed
My shadow, dwarfed
And she.....she was gone
What did i see
What did i feel
Was it fantasy, reality
or.....somewhere in between??

Sometimes it is hard to believe our eyes, but it's the perception that counts anyway. Thank you for entering our contest, and good luck to you.
