Social Sunset

I stand in a paradise
they all call perfection
so many walk by,
but I fade in to the cosmos.

I glide into the heat of the day
and watch society's shining sun
the flocks gather 'round to indulge,
and worship its bright and brilliant darkness.

The people quickly grew silent,
the sky began to shift
a crowd mystified the crowd;
They eagerly raced up an unstable ladder

The breeze blows my way
with an air of strong perfumed aroma;
the winds of luscious sex and delusion
move across a jaded horizon of intentional mystery.

I strolled through fields filled with flowers
so beautifully sheltered by the sun's rays,
domineering sacred ground
and shrouding the unknown distant hills.

Such beautiful breath taking distractions
these flowers ought to take their minds
from the falling acid rain of disdain,
which leaves in its wake, a trail of blood stains.

Somewhere in the distance, I encounter shade amongst the shadows
and I hear the screaming suicide trees
pleading for blessings from the golden sun,
but the sun shines blissfully on those blessed beautiful flowers.

A perfect paradise,
a stagnant time paralyzed,
a clever paradox,
fills 4 seasons with consistance.

The same old cycle of society's sun
casting its light of brilliant admiration
the flurtacious breeze guides the sun to bed;
Tonight the sun sets on the world of the wasted.

    A fine work!

    This is truly art in words...one of the best poems of imagery and metaphoric mastery that I have read in AP yet...Its beauty and its darkness really pulls you in...thank you very much for sharing!!
