it always rains in boston

stand still.
all this moving we've been doing
has me pressed against a wall
its your job to let me fall
amazed
ashamed
regrettably arranged
i don't know what to tell you
but your not the one to blame
you know you should have swallowed up
my undeveloped words
your ice cream colored cheeks
and our undiscovered worlds
but here they are before us
born and aborted
so suddenly distorted
the one thing we had struggled through
was the first thing we resorted to
in soothing waves of black and blue
i'll drown in what i've said to you
and still i want you here
just fuckin disappear
don't bother to debate it
when trust is overrated
our hearts soften to steel
emotionless
unreal
growing pains
switchblades
i'm sorry's all that i can say
and you
the labyrinth that im lost in
exactly i told Boston.

Author notes

such an old poem, it doesn't even relate anymore, but still, it captures what i felt for so long so perfectly....

Old or not, I thought it was great! You painted great pictures with your words, and expressed your feelings, beautifully. You used such creative language in this. Great job! Thanks for your comment on my piece!
    Blessings,
