The Voice Within

 

 

What she never knew
nor dared to be-li-eve

was tucked safely inside
her delicate skin.

What she always knew
spoke softly within;

an astounding
and beautiful
~dragonfly soul~

A calm foreboding
boldly awakening.

Un-leashing her might.
Un-folding her wings.

Out-stretching
Out-reaching

Bursting thru pain;
Anger, FEAR, Self-hatred

The countless tears
kept for too many years.

In amazement we gazed
f r o z e n –in- p l a c e

What is this strength
courage and grace?

 

Magnificently emerging,

will-fully freed

 

 An astounding

 and beautiful...

 ~dragonfly soul~ released.

Contest prompt: Just tell me about...it...amaze me.

The dragonfly is a sign of purity and hope ~that purity and hope~ spiritually lives within us despite whatever pain or circumstance we may face in life.

I think there are times in our lives and especially mine...when a voice inside
gave me great strength and helped to outstretch- outreach to release the claws
of anger, fear, self-hatred
and the Beautiful Dragonfly soul in each one of us!

    A beautiful ...

    ... piece, full of hope and rich in your proclivity for ‘the divine’. My own take on dragonflies differs a bit, that they symbolize change that comes from being consumed by some passion. But, that works for this poem too. It’s lovely. Warm regards, Sultan
