Goodbye.

Promises lay broken at my feet.
I whisper the quiet words of regret.
Silently asking you not to do this.
Knowing that you don't care anymore.
Invisible tears ran down my face.
As I watched you walk away.
I screamed at you,
Did you regret everything we had?
Did you regret holding my hand?
Did you forget that I love you?
But you didn't hear me.
You kept walking as I tried to follow.
Now I'm at the end.
I stop watching you walk away.
Turning down my own road I smile.
I wont forget the way I felt with you.
I won't forget all the memories we shared.
I won't forget how you were there when I needed you.
But at last, all the regrets are gone.
And I finally turn away from you.
Walking down my own red, dirt road.
And finding my way without you.

I will always love you.
But you can't truly love someone
Until you give that love away.

Goodbye.
