My heart did beat out of time,
With a thought more than sublime.
While three things rocked my mind,
Three soft words that shook me blind.
Ready but truly not prepared,
My soul was struck just as I feared
"Its a girl" was all that it took,
for me to catch on that cupids hook.
I saw her face, heard her heart,
knowing then we wouldnt part.
The angels face on my daughter to be
Was staring from the screen right at me.
With confidence now I really knew
What I needed from here to do
The only thing I could think to do
Which was to forever to take care of you.
