Silence

Lost in a candy coated universe,
Singing sweet and nothing lullabies,
Floating past infinite clouds of confusion,
Clouding my mind, vagueness fogging my eyes,
Branches of doubt and insanity grazing my sides,
Falling through nothingness, into the unseen,
Watching doves fly past a dreary eyed fool,
Biting past the sweetness, to the bitter twang,
Tainting everything around me,
Dying to hear the sweet compassion of your heart,
Trying so hard to stop from drowning in the sky,
Descending into an unnatural silence,
Broken by nothing but unrequited love,
I can't feel you there anymore,
I slip beneath the surface,
As the waning moon cries.
