A man stands upon a high cliff
stretching into and looking out over the ocean
He gently plays his violin with admiration for what he sees
the waves tickling the sand far beneath his feet
The caressing summer breeze embraces every note
and lovingly blows it out to sea
his music landing softly on the waves
for only mother nature to hear
He plays his own symphony every day
only to sooth his gentle soul
knowing that no one is around to hear
he plays his old violin.
The green pastures of the land hold no secrets
their mysteries are no longer
He found all the answers within himself
If he had only known sooner where to look
So shelter he took in the little log cottage
looking out over the horizon
Where he plays his notes
with only mother nature to fear.
The sun sets once again
only to reappear.
Author notes
While I was meditating today I got this strong vivid image in my head of a man playing on a cliff. It felt so strong and so real that I could not get it out of my head. This is what followed, I do hope you like it.
