A Life Beneath the Skies

With silvery moonlight
Waltzing elegantly
He once danced throughout life

Born beneath purple skies
Awakening at dawn
His voice rose with the sun

Under the noon heavens
As a graceful adult
He evolved and blossomed

~

Stealthily sinking sun
Weakened like his body--
Indigo evening came

~

The soothing midnight skies
Blanketed his fatigue
And stars offered comfort

Eyes closed he sighed softly
Eternally dreaming
With Jasmine in the air

And the velvet twilight
Spirited him away
To rest among the stars

Author notes

I used the final stanza in a piece on storywrite, 'Transient Sky'. This runs along the same vein...its something I want to get out creatively but to be honest I'm still not entirely happy with it besides the first, and final two stanzas.
