I dreamt that our universe was daubed in turpentine
where planets swimming round the sun sat straight in one long line
queud up to smell the star filled sky that soared above the ground
I even dreamt the world was flat instead of boring round
I wished the trees were broccoli with leaves of toffee cream
and that roads were filled with water making life one tranquil stream
taking life just as it comes and going with the flow
going anywhere and everywhere swaying slightly as we go
Where grass was made of chocolate that squelched between your toes
and passing many fields where canes of sherbet lemon grows
down stardust paths that bend and wind like tar and liquorish
flowing towards the sand and sea full of jumping jelly fish
With sugar tails that made our lips lick more with every stare
plunging through the fizzy waves not knowing we were there
now stretched out upon the golden stones more polished and refined
than any London office with the greatest thinking mind
Watching sweet horizons with my honey coated eyes
glazed with great temptation under swirling caramel skies
I attempt to close my longing lids and dream of something new
but deep down I know this world exists and I think you know it too!
