Dear Claire,
"Replaceable." To everyone else it's just an eleven-lettered word that takes two or three times to spell correctly-- but to me, it's my identity. Knowing that at any moment someone else will come around and take my spot, I wish for the best. I'll be replaced a thousand times over but those who replaced me stay in my heart the way they've always been.
I act like I do, but I don't forget. I'll always remember people's names, how we met, I even remember what songs they introduced me to. In some cases, it's a gift but most of the time it just irritates the wound after realizing that not only do they not care, they don't even remember.
It's as if I never existed.
Do you know how much being replaceable hurts? I hope not. I hope you're the one who's always rememebered, because you're one of the ones who don't deserve to be forgotten. You're not forgettable, & if you ever decided to leave, no one could fill up the void you left.
It's something special, being irreplacebale. I hope everyone else sees that in you too.

You are my best friend, JUST SAYING. I don't think I can replace my best friend, JUST SAYING.
So, ha. You keep writing such nice things to people, and you best realize now, that you are my best friend, JUST SAYING. The best friend I have ever had, JUST SAYING, and you are completely irreplaceable.
So, ha!
Oh, and... You are not forgettable. You are not replaceable.
Best friends can not be replaced.
Friends are the ones who buy you the pregnancy test, best friends are the ones screaming through the bathroom door, "I BETTER BE THE GOD PARENT TO THE BABY".
That is just something that can not be replaced, no matter how hard we try.
And I am quite lucky to have a best friend like that. Because I expect you to do that to me in a really public place eventually, and I expect it to be awkward and weird, and totally fun. Just like I promise I will do it to you too.
