Jessica

There are many times when actual words can not come from one's lips.
There are those who can only say with their eyes what God wants you
to hear.
Jessica was one of those people, a child with severe cerebral palsy.
Yet Jessica could communicate love to us.
For a few brief years she was with us, while confined to a wheel chair.
This year she graduated from highschool despite her physical disabilities.
The pictures on the wall of her special needs classroom show her always smiling, always loving the people who were her second family.
I would say that those that cared for her and taught her what they could heard the voice of God when he spoke and revealed what we wanted to know.
It was with a grieving heart that we learned that Jessica had passed away on August 13, 2009.
Her spirit is everywhere in the school and so it is that because of Jessica that we know that we can still help others with autism, cerebral palsy and any other disability affecting children.
A new child entered the school by the name of Tavon.
He is blind but he loves music and he hears a different angel, but he hears the voice of God.
Goodbye Jessica, you are whole now and your lesson has been learned.

Author notes

I work at our local highschool, Jessica's death caught me by surprise. She was a sweet child who always had a smile for us. And we all loved her. This is in her memory.

Very touching. God's love shines through all of us when not blocked, as seen in Jessica.

    Yes...

Children are God's special people. He can't depend on adults to share his love as much as he can depend on children. Judy you have placed a very fine tribute to this child on AP where I hope it remains forever. With tears.
