equinox

I fold myself out,
a snow flower;
white petals on a melting lawn

drawing a circle with my languid movements
as spring returns from winter
and I wake from my dormancy
to greet the skyclad sun

garments of lacy cloud spill across the horizon
as she undresses, brightening
with every layer lost.
