Hand to Flame

All around me, aerosols of smoke and ash,
Purity perishing in fire and water
As, hand to flame, I surround myself in swirling embers
To protect myself from the cold of night.

For rain makes specters of us all,
But in fire, we are not alone.

    oh my gosh, i love the imagery and you had an excellent word choice. It's an interesting poem, short and to the point. I like it a lot, hmmmm.....wow. it's just really intriguing
