The End

Its here...
The end...
The end is here,
people running all around me.
All I see is the blur of movement,
People running into me,
but I dont feel a thing... Its like I'm just swaying
People screaming all around me.
But their all blocked out by the toll of a heavy heart...
THUMP THUMP
THUMP THUMP
My feet push me to the outskirts of the city
to a location thats still unknown,
I pass a dark purple flower,
I freeze...
It was Magnificent, it stood tall
with its petals dancing eerily in the apocalyptic breeze.
its almost poetic the way you notice the beauty of things
only when its too late, already slipping from your grasp.
I continue to press on,
Im here, Im sure.
My unknown location was a plain,
yet to be tarnished by man...
it was...
it was beautiful,is this really wat the city was like before people came along.
I look at my surroundings, an endless garden of green and vegetation
spread before me underneath our sky painted red by the end.
But then I see Death...
It wasnt what i expected.
It had no cloak, scythe and bony hand extended towards me,
ready to take me...
it had no form, but you knew what it was by the feeling...
it took all light and life from your body...
it took all the fight from you... your will
vanished because you know whats gonna happen,
no matter what you do... its gonna happen...
It plunges you into an endless abyss of darkness...
showing you a slither of light, teasing you as it vanishes...
I open my eyes...
im still here...
for now...
but its time...
I look around,
and there are people gathering from the city,
they have also accepted their fate...
now here we are...
humanity...
together as individuals...
together as one...
ready to embrace our fate as one,
together hand in hand,
as brothers,
as sisters,
as humans...
because we all make mistakes...
we all fight...
but thats what we do...
After all we're all,
just human...
so I played my part in the End...
I look up...
Close my eyes...
And embrace...
