Don't stand by my grave and weep
Forget your grief and fears
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I know no pain nor tears
There is no hunger in this place,
Nor sadness, want or pride.
No one cares to run the race
No need for souls to hide.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
And the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the diamond glint of snow.
The gentle autumn rain.
So when you wake in morning’s hush.
And see young birds in flight
Know me as that urgent flush
Of wings in dawn’s first light
Know me as the stars that shine
And moonbeams on a pond
Have peace, for you are always mine
I really have not gone.
Do not stand by my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

Wow
This is absolutely gorgeous and breathtakingly beautiful. It just says it all, no matter who it was written for. They rhythm and rhyme are flawless and the thoughts expressed and images created are fantastic. You've done so very well with this. It's absolutely wonderful. Best of luck in the contest too.
Vron didn't mention it but my wife's name is Kathy too.
