Drowned

We can put man on the moon
but we can't control our waste
Fill every ocean, lake and lagoon
with our sinful and selfish disgrace

Beautiful untouched perfection
buried amongst unrecycled rot
A loss of love and affection
from the world we forgot

With a shuddering sound
and an abrupt halt
Beneath waste she drowned
and we are at fault

The world we knew has ceased
the problem, we were made aware
Now we are all deceased
because not enough woud care

    humz.. the work is up to date with the current era
    what ever science has done.. Science can't reach the little knowldge spread in the world by God.

    I have to agree totally with you in this one. I do think that with all of our technology that we could do more to clean up our environment. Go more green. Thanks for sharing this with us.

    Powerful poem, with brutal honesty about how we live and treat our home. I agree, I think we spend too much money on things that can wait, while the things that are kililng us right now go unfunded.

    This is a really great thought that you penned here! Your words hold so much truth. It's amazing how with all of our dreams and goals in life, there are some things that are so tangible and yet, we don't even make the effort to touch them. It's true that in order to change something and get it done, someone has to take the initiative. If only we all would! Well done and all the best to you with this one here. I think you have definitely gotten your muse back!
