The music drifts,
Through the air.
The sky is lit up,
Fiery oranges, yellows, reds.
The sun,
A golden fireball disappearing.
Trees,
Leaves slightly rustling,
High in the branches.
They sit on a hilltop,
Side by side,
Waiting for the night.
The song finishes,
Only the wildlife makes noise.
A soft breeze blows,
The grass rustles softly.
He turns to her,
“Let me be the end of your rainbow.”
She smiles,
Sadness haunting her face.
“My rainbow disappeared,
A long, long time ago.

But you’ll have to find it.”
She lays her head,
Gently on his shoulder,
He wraps his arms,
Around her.
“Why will you let me?”
He is confused.
“This.”
She pushes,
He lays back.
She kisses him,
He kisses back,
Running his hands slowly,
Down her sides,
To her back.
“Let me be the one that you love.”
She whispers.
“You are.”
