Her Story, His Victim

Who would have guessed that his eyes were censored?
Her heart was tied to him that once mattered.
She was so flattered by the words he spoke,
But she was never prepared to handle the promises he broke.
She was never prepared to heal her heart which he broke.

There was a guarantee, a spoken contract between them.
When the thunder rolled, he jumped at the opportunity to condemn-
Condemn her which he once claimed he loved so dearly;
Like a fox he hid the truth cleverly,
But in the end, he was nothing but an upset, crying baby.

He was a corrupt ninja who had given her a dead flower.
The sun had already set when she finally realized the passing hour.
She couldn’t believe he hid behind his mother’s leg,
Like a toddler who doesn’t want to confront his wrongs.
With his mother, that’s the only place he belongs!

She faced his dragon alone, never realizing he wanted her to drown.
Her death was the only thing on her mind when he knocked her down.
She had no choice but to gather her tears in this bottle of amber.
The boy should’ve been an actor.
After all, he did make a really good liar.

He’s not fit for his dreams to be a soldier in the Army.
He’s just too damn bitchy.
For the Army only want men;
Not boys who act younger than ten.
The only thing he’s good at is confining hearts in his dirty pen.

Their wedding date he declared was once marked on her calendar,
But the sun revealed to her the truth behind this video gamer.
She questions whether her heart was a shoot ‘em up or RPG?
Only he knows the game he played but either way it was deadly.
He never said “Goodbye”, he just left her to his mother; he left her empty.

Now, the roses he sent her have all turned black;
She knows his life is hundreds of miles off of that glorious track.
Bearing the last name-Paulson, he ran like a child in fear.
She no longer cares if he’s far or near.
He broke her, she picked up the pieces; now she refuses to shed another tear.
