The sun beats down upon my bear back,
-GOLD-
A shade of brilliance
And I remember my struggles and my strength.
The blood I shed from open wounds,
From lashes and beatings.
Because I wish to be free
-CRIMSON-
A shade of love and passion
I remember my pain
I remember I am human
The ground I stand upon
During hours of endless work,
Stabilizes me,
-BROWN-
A shade of the center of Self
And I remember my roots
The trees swaying in the slight breeze,
The forest,
The LIFE,
Brings me hope after all has abandoned me,
It looms in the distance, like a dream
-GREEN-
-FERTILITY-
A shade of recovered tomorrows
Through in-betterment of today
I remember my battles
-The endless war, which I must fight
So I reach up to the heavens,
Closer and closer to warmth
I bleed the blood of freedom,
I exchange blows with the dizziness of ignorance
I dig my toes into the soil,
Rooted forever deep
I keep my eyes fixed on the green-glowing horizon,
Where veins carry-through
And pour into the fountain of life.
