Author notes
The frustration of bringing a new computer system online is sort of a microcosm of life. I've often spoken of "nasty narrow decisions," and thought this morning that my new Jornada 560 handheld computer is a perfect example--getting it to work the right way, and in harmony with the desktop and the Jornada 728 (like a cute little miniature laptop, and highly functional) and Jornada 820 (larger--like a "preshrunk laptop"--the "original netbook"). Although there were times I thought of giving up on the 560, things are looking good now--I wrote the above poem on it between schools, on my bus run. BTW, these computers are where I got my AP username--it's Spanish for "a day's work."
