Surrender

The source of everlasting flow
The reflection of moonlight’s glow
The clarity of sun’s rays’ trace
I submit myself to Your Grace.

Lord, You are the Spring of mercy
The rest in my fiendish journey;
Forgiven from the devil’s race
I submit myself to Your Grace.

Lord, You are the Splendor at dusk
The rainbow across the world’s brusque;
Discovered beauty in Your Face
I submit myself to Your Grace.

Lord, You are the Shower at dawn
The richness past the earthly lawn
Living in a heavenly place
I submit myself to Your Grace.

My mistakes have Your forgiveness
My darkness has Your vividness
I am so blessed in Your embrace
I submit myself to Your Grace.

Author notes

A Kyrielle is a French form of rhyming poetry written in quatrains (a stanza consisting of 4 lines), and each quatrain contains a repeating line or phrase as a refrain (usually appearing as the last line of each stanza). Each line within the poem consists of only eight syllables. There is no limit to the amount of stanzas a Kyrielle may have, but three is considered the accepted minimum. Some popular rhyming schemes for a Kyrielle are: aabB, ccbB, ddbB, with B being the repeated line, or abaB, cbcB, dbdB. (from ShadowPoetry.com)

    I have heard of Kyrielle but I've never written one myself. Very well done. I loved it. Thank you for taking the time to enter. Excellent work and I wish you the best of luck in my contest
