End of An Era (rewrite)

A long memory
End of an Era.
A time of pain,
yet still some good.
Dancing in the rain,
kissing him.
Counting on forever,
but now never knowing.
Crying in the shower,
washing away the blood.
Listening to the voices,
and leaving him.
Runnin away from home,
to see if anyone will follow.
Being given a hundred reasons to cry,
showing a thousand to smile.
Smiling like nothings wrong,
Talking like everything's perfect,
Acting like it's all a dream,
Pretending it's not hurting.
Listening to the world saying give up,
and hope whispering try it one more time.
Knowing that tears of love are useless,
but crying them anyways.
Watching the shadow's dancing on the wall,
Counting the tears that fall.
He's just a kid,
living a nightmare,
A good pretender,
in a great disguise,
lost in a world of suffering.
Thinking that the heart will never mend,
Promising not to breathe again.
Pulling the trigger,
to make the nightmare end.
Heading down the dark path,
toward the light shining up ahead.
The angel is ready to fly...
With open wings it soars away
