Good Afternoon, Kitchen!

it could be said that his fingers,
whilst occupied on piano keys,
have no flaw,
though it is my opinion that his
"pleasant, light baritone"
could use some lessons
in charm

the need is arguable, of course;
after all,
the soap bubbles and yellow duckies
seem an amiable audience,
having never once complained
at least,
not to my ears;

but truly, must he greet the rooms,
and especially myself,
in such a manner?
(very good, sir)

it's times like these I wonder
if I wasn't perhaps telling a half-truth
in implying that Mr. Bertie
is a bit of an eccentric;
or, to put it quite plainly,
a loony

the "old grey matter"
hints toward such
as I dispose of another pair
of purple socks.

(hodie hodie hodie ho, sir)

Author notes

Written from Jeeves's POV, of course. I personally would like Stephen Fry going "hodie hodie hodie ho, sir" as my ringtone.

    If you ever find that as ring tone let me know!

    Poor Jeeves the things he had to do for Bertie, worst of all would be the those purple socks. I hope he had tongs!

    A spiffing read.

    They had such a wonderful relationship, foils to one another. Ah yes, the purple sox that Jeeves always disposed of discreetly.

    Don't remember piano playing but I haven't read all the books.
