I was made for one purpose: to keep people in.
but in your case, my love,
I go above and beyond
in fulfilling this directive,
knowing I can no longer live
without your radiant face;
my glow can't come close,
any other luminescence pales
in comparison
to you.

and every time I have to subdue you
in fulfilling my purpose

Author notes

This is, of course, from the POV of Rover from The Prisoner, kind of alluring toward a pairing with Number Six. I've only seen parts of one episode of the show, so if my remembrance + the Simpsons spoof + Wikipedia did me wrong, I apologize. But this was fun to write.

    It's taking me longer than usual to write this comment because I am gigglesqueeing SO HARD. Forgive me.
    You know, when I asked people to write for Rover, I had no idea anyone would do it with this much enthusiasm. ^.^ I LOVE this. With CAPITAL LETTERS AND MUCH CHOCOLATE CAKE.
