Look upon this boy and you'll see
a soul too perfect to stay with me
a gift to us all given from above
he did spread the light
he showered everyone with love

A friend, he was, a brother, a son
I never knew a better man
than the one he had become

Our lives without him won't be the same
but he's left his mark
so for him we'll live again

His pain is over
as he rests upon clouds
he has earned these wings
he carries now

    Oh Dawn this is so beautiful A perfect write about a loved one lost. You've been through so much, but I know God is on your side This is just so wonderful. Thank you for sharing your heart Just one thing, the second line in the first stanza, "to perfect" should be "too perfect" Anyway I loved this and the last stanza is just so sad, but beautiful "even for a day"
