All music is unique. : )

I find that the most important part about music is not making the most complicated sound but rather a story or a picture, and to do that without words even.

Author notes

I originally wrote this piece over the summer on piano but I rewrote it for a string ensamble just this week...because I can.

When originally writing the song in June, it was simply a song trying to envoke and demonstrate the feelings I had anticipating a reunion with someone in August. Now that August is over and I have reunited with this person, I feel it is a sound of how I will continue to feel.

The volume level on the orchestra version is low so headphones or really badass speakers will greatly improve the listening of that.

That picture is also from a collection of my medicre photography. For those more interested in poetry, more will be coming.

Re-writing music? I am impressed. I am musically illiterate. I know what I like. I can read it a little, but write it? Not a chance.

      Haha, thank you.

This song is very personal to me. I've actually been listening to it all morning. I just said this morning, that I know what part of the song I'm at, but it's still the best damn song I ever wrote. It's not quite that sad...I'm not at the end yet. Haha, sorry. I'm quite vague lately.

The only possible reason I could give for the violin solo is that the style in which I play it is a mish-mash of Irish fiddle, jazz, and classical violin. I have dabbled in several music forms and they in some ways melted together.

I do have a story for this song but no pretty arrangement of words has been made, at least not to this date.

      Thank you for your interest.

I agree! Music SHOULD tell a story or just a picture. I loved it. Great job and thanks for the entry!
