Where have I gone
That changed me so?
Was it to college, where i learned to can my anger?
Or to boot camp, that taught me maturity?
Possibly Iraq, for the value of life?
The world around, teaches all

I agree with the chic below. Everything and everyone changes who, and sometimes, what, we are daily. No one is ever the same person from day to day. We're like the weather, and we carry on just as precariously. Sorry about the chic thing, no disrespect.

Everywhere
The way I look at life is that everything and everyone has some impact that changes who we are and who we have become. I believe that everything you have lived through has changed you and in my opinion more than likely for the better. The marines probably changed you more than you might have liked but without that experience you wouldnt be the same exact wonderful man you are today. You would still be a wonderful man but you would have had different experiences that would change you in different ways to make the man you would be.

So many things bring change to our lives and those that you've mentioned in your poem are expecially responsible for the way we look at life. A good poem and I wish you best of luck in the contest
