When Oppressors Fall

You have no consideration for those who fell. They tumbled to the ground while you laugh and yelled. For you can pick them up and comfort them for this ability you held.

But you keep them trapped day by day in their own personal cell. And it’s a cycle that lasts for years as you watch them squirm and dwell. And the only room for growth is for the wounds they let swell.

As well as the desire for vengeance in which they so sweetly smell. And against this cruelty they will rebel. Then they’ll teach you the hard way that one mans joy is another’s hell.

I plan to revise this poem: please leave constructive criticism!
