Who You Were

And I'm gonna sit here..

Right here on this little bench, by this little tree..
I'm going to sit until the tears stop falling..
Until you make them stop dripping down my face.
Until you are the guy I fell in love with from the start.

I deserve better.
We both know this.
Just something about you..
I can't let go..

I guess I was already over my head..
You saw my weakness and took advantage.
I would take it all back,
Were I given the chance.

Put all the little tears
Back into my little body..

But I'm still sitting here..
On this little bench, by this little tree..
Wondering who you used to be..

Easily relatable...sadly i know exactly how the speaker in this poem feels since i'm going though the same thing at this very moment. If i could take back the tears and pain he caused me ... that i caused myself by staying i would. Your words were lovely wonderfully written.
