At the coffee shop where you first took my hand
words spilled from your mouth I know you hadn’t planned
jagged daggers this is how hearts brake
now, in darkness I lie here awake
when you walked away, the air was thick
poisonous enough to leave me sick
middle of the night until the dawn
I lay wondering how you could be gone
as the gray of morning brings new form
gray on gray and cold now, as the storm
tearing up my heart, searing my soul
love that's gone away, with heavy toll
I will try to rise and go on blind
though there is no reason I can find
all desire and inspiration lost
losing you was such a fatal cost

Heart broken, love lost turned into exceptional poetry. Especially favorite lines:
when you walked away, the air was thick
poisonous enough to leave me sick
The imagery is so vivid it evokes emotion.

the cost and pain of losing your love
the words spent ached the heart to much to trust
and the morning has come and the end is here
what will I do .. how can I feel
Hugs and so heartfelt hun always ♥
