I haven't written in so long.

Like soursweet jelly sweets
I chew your words
and slowly fall in love
with this man
who i've ripped
and let boy come tumbling out of,
quiet anecdote after tale.

And while your eyes fix on the ceiling
mine are on your face
which squints and harasses the
sentences you squeeze
towards me.

You are beautiful
and in each sweetwordchew thought about you
I want to inch closer
and grasp onto something you don't expect from me
and hope the unexpected
is something i've left inside you,
that I haven't eaten it all up.
